It is frequent that organizations willing to deploy Codevelopment start with external facilitation to verify the adequacy of this method in regard to the specific objectives, prior to training internal facilitation resources. Prior to any deployment, Cecodev provides assistance to the project pilot to select the most convenient modalities, to organize the groups, and if required to communicate with the participants. This initial assistance to organization intends at ensuring that the conditions are optimized to reach the project objectives.
Thanks to its leading position in facilitation training and certification, Cecodev can mobilize several dozens of certified and experienced facilitators. Therefore, there is virtually no limit to the extent of the Codevelopment facilitation projects that Cecodev can deploy.
Within a frame of strict confidentiality regarding the situations worked on during the workshops, Cecodev systematically builds and maintains a real partnership with the organization pilot throughout the intervention.
Training to Codev facilitation
Overview of the training cursus
Cecodev trains Codevelopment facilitators thanks to its proven pedagogical training cursus. This cursus is composed of 2 training modules separated by a time of facilitation practice.
The Green Module takes the participants to a level of safe facilitation with intermediate impact for the participants and the organization, leading to the certification for group animation.
The Red Module takes certified facilitators with initial real-life facilitation experience to expert facilitators. Along with project organization, participants are trained to the subtilities of collective intelligence dynamics, complex problematics and workshops with added-value.
Including several practice sessions, all our trainings are designed for groups of 4 to 8 participants, then allowing for a very specific collective
Pedagogical methods range from presentations to exercises, case studies, practical application and session debriefings.
GREEN MODULE
Secured facilitation of a Codevelopment group
The Green Module is the first step of our training cursus for future Codevelopment facilitators. It is composed of 2 complementary cycles.
Discover and experiment the Codevelopment method on several types of issues, and observe, through the trainer, the posture and impact of an experienced facilitator.
Learn how to safely facilitate Codevelopment sessions, by acquiring the following skills:

- Method: master the course of the session and make it understood ;
- Frame: set and maintain the conditions for success ;
- Climate: create a constructive climate, where everyone gets involved with pleasure and comfort ;
- Posture: show and encourage an “Action Learning” posture ;
- Organization of a first Codevelopment group.
This training is organized in 2 different modes :

- INTER : at Cecodev in Paris 8th or online, individuals can register here after an initial contact with us to ensure that this training will match your expectations ;
- INTRA : For one or more groups of 4 to 8 future facilitators within the same organization, with training held at the Client’s premises or online. In this case, please contact us so as we understand your project and prepare for you an adapted proposition.
Most of our trainings are in French language. However :
- Cecodev implements INTRA Green Modules in English language on a regular basis, including with participants in different time zones.
- To date, Cecodev implements annually one session of INTER Green Module in English language. This is likely to gradually increase.
RED MODULE
Codevelopment strategic steering
The Red Module brings intermediate facilitators to the level of expertise required for high impact Codevelopment workshops.
Build as a continuation of the Green Module, to be undertaken after a time of real-life facilitation practice, it is composed of two complementary cycles :
3 DAYS
Cycle 3 is focused on acquiring the subtleties of impact facilitation, maximizing collective intelligence and learnings including when dealing with complex situations ;
2 DAYS
Cycle 2 comprises all aspects of Codevelopment project organization : proposition, preparation, deployment and capitalization.
This module builds on concrete situations and difficulties experienced by the participants to provide them with theoretical understanding, practical hints and practice time to acquire the Codevelopment strategic steering competencies.
Supervision of facilitators
The development of Codevelopment facilitation expertise is a lengthy process that can be efficiently supported by implementing a supervision facility.
Cecodev supervisors are professionals with over 15 years of experience with Codevelopment facilitation and training to facilitation being their main activity. Having facilitated several thousands of sessions provide them with a unique understanding of the path from facilitation early stages to expertise, along with huge records of actual facilitation situations that can be used as reference during the supervision sessions.
The supervision sessions can be organized either individually or collectively.
We usually recommend to our partner organizations 3 days of supervision per year, to ensure regular and efficient support with significant facilitation practice in between.
Other collective intelligence workshops
At CECODEV, although highly specialized in Codevelopment, we are also experienced to facilitate other types of collective intelligence workshops, such as World Café, Open Forum etc. These workshops can be perfectly complimentary with Codevelopment, for specific purposes such as ideating on a specific issue, reaching resolutions or interacting with members of their communities through genuine open dialogue.
